Hailuo clips cost $0.10 to $0.56 each. $0.10 buys 6 seconds at 512p on Hailuo-02; $0.56 buys 10 seconds at 768p on Hailuo-02 or Hailuo-2.3. A 6-second 1080p clip is $0.49 on the standard models and $0.33 on Hailuo-2.3-Fast.
MiniMax sells fixed clips at 512p, 768p and 1080p. The 1080p tier only comes in 6 seconds. There is no per-second rate in the price table, so this page derives per-second equivalents and labels them as derived.
How MiniMax bills
One row is one clip at a stated length and resolution. Hailuo-02 and Hailuo-2.3 are priced identically in every tier both offer; the Fast variant is the only cheaper line. Credits are not used on the API price table.
Price gap to the next tier
| Model | 512p | 768p | 1080p |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hailuo-02 | 6s $0.10, 10s $0.15 | 6s $0.28 (2.8× over 512p), 10s $0.56 | 6s $0.49 (1.75× over 768p) |
| Hailuo-2.3 | — | 6s $0.28, 10s $0.56 | 6s $0.49 (1.75× over 768p) |
| Hailuo-2.3-Fast | — | 6s $0.19, 10s $0.32 | 6s $0.33 (1.74× over 768p) |
The resolution step from 512p to 768p is the expensive one: 2.8× for the same 6 seconds. From 768p to 1080p the step is 1.75×. On the Fast line, 768p to 1080p is 1.74×.
The Fast discount is the more useful number: 6 seconds at 768p is $0.19 against $0.28 on the standard model, 32% less; 10 seconds at 768p is $0.32 against $0.56, 43% less; 6 seconds at 1080p is $0.33 against $0.49, 33% less.
The 10-second clip costs more per second
At 768p, 6 seconds costs $0.28 ($0.0467/s) and 10 seconds costs $0.56 ($0.056/s). The longer clip is 20% more expensive per second. At 512p it reverses: $0.10 for 6 seconds is $0.0167/s, and $0.15 for 10 seconds is $0.015/s, so the long clip is cheaper per second there. 512p is the only tier where that happens.
1080p has no 10-second row, so the question does not arise there.
Money-saving notes
- Fast costs 32% to 43% less at the same resolution and length. The price table says nothing about output quality, so treat this as a price fact, not a quality one.
- 512p is the cheap tier. $0.10 for 6 seconds, a fifth of the $0.49 1080p price.
- Stay at 6 seconds unless you need 10. At 768p the 10-second clip costs $0.56 against $0.28, and 20% more per second.
- 1080p only exists at 6 seconds. Do not budget a 10-second 1080p clip from this vendor; that row doesn't exist.
- Hailuo-02 and 2.3 cost the same. Choose on output, not price.
Worked example
100 clips, 6 seconds, 768p, Hailuo-2.3-Fast: 100 × $0.19 = $19.00. The same 100 on the standard Hailuo-2.3 at 768p: 100 × $0.28 = $28.00. At 1080p, 100 × $0.33 = $33.00 on Fast, $49.00 on standard.
FAQ
Is Hailuo cheaper than Kling?
Per published rate at 6 seconds, 1080p: Hailuo-2.3-Fast is $0.33 and standard is $0.49; Kling 3.0 is $0.672 without native audio and $1.008 with it. Hailuo is cheaper at that length. Hailuo caps at 6 seconds at 1080p, so the comparison does not extend to longer clips. See Hailuo vs Kling.
Why is there no per-second price?
MiniMax bills per clip at fixed lengths, and the price row covers the whole clip. Dividing by the length gives a rate you can compare with per-second vendors, but it is a derived figure. This site labels it as such everywhere.
What does Fast change?
Only the price, according to the tracked rows: Hailuo-2.3-Fast is listed at $0.19/$0.32/$0.33 against $0.28/$0.56/$0.49 for standard, at 768p 6s, 768p 10s and 1080p 6s. Whether output quality differs is not stated in the pricing table, and this site does not claim it does.
Does Hailuo support 4K?
No 4K row appears in the 11 tracked rows. The top tier is 1080p at 6 seconds.
